During izeyoi's subterfuge in The Shinku-san Corporation after supposedly swearing off his old habits of sowing chaos as Wind, he came upon the biological building blocks for humanity that had been in cold storage in the company's Lungless Clones and Other Useless Civilians facility. izeyoi managed to come away from the facility with just enough genetic material to create his own human being, and though there was no purpose for doing so at the time, presumed that when the moment was right he would have an ace in the hole. For once in his life izeyoi happened to be right.

Nearly a year after izeyoi was defeated by Ninja Gremlin in honorable combat, he abandoned his martial arts studies along with his obligations to Shinku-san Corp, and sought revenge against those who had spurned and belittled him. Thus he focused his talents on creating what would eventually be named Michael Grote, a name that for reasons unknown even to izeyoi, haunted his dreams and was scalded into his memory. So christening the human being that he created, izeyoi sent him out in the direction of London, England, and hoped for the best. Shortly thereafter, Dreamweaver chanced across an izeyoi in an alternate dimension, and concluding that if this one could destroy that universe, than the other izeyois would be capable of such. Not a day after Michael Grote found himself cast towards a company he'd never heard of, the izeyoi who created him was killed.

Barely a teenager at the time, Grote found himself wandering aimlessly for what seemed like years, surviving only by communing with woodland creatures and drinking muddy water. Eventually Grote discovered, quite ironically despite his complex creation, that he had no superpowers, save the ability to read lips. Not long after that, he found The Shinku-san Corporation, and politely asked if he could see Shinku-san and possibly kill him. Despite his gentle demeanor, Grote's threat was taken seriously, and Momo, oddly enough was unleashed from the catacombs of Shinku-san Corp. where she had been charged with defeating Nemesis. Grote was understandably unnerved by this slobbering, violent young woman, and took off through The Shinku-san Corporation, running through the mazelike building in an effort to escape Momo. It was during this pursuit that Grote found himself surrounded by the most horrific display of creature ever seen. One woman had bullet holes in her hair and was using a chocolate bar to stab someone, another was nearly naked but for a sombrero and doing unspeakable things to a moose paint green, and still another seemed to be assembled from video game consoles.

Grote eventually ran out of breath once he reached the catacombs, though Momo had given up long before, fangirls not known for their stamina. In the catacombs however, Grote stumbled upon Nemesis himself, and startled, read the monstrosity's lips at such lightning speed that Nemesis's flamming skull-head tumbled from the disembodied robe upon which it hovered, and the spirit was vanquished. Just then, Momo caught up with him and, still out of breath, had Grote relate his story to her.

After explaining what had happened, and how Grote came to be, Momo was presented by Shinku-san with promotions, Michael Grote was renamed Antman 537 (because it sounded clever, according to Shinku-san), and then they were told to return to the catacombs before they started depressing everyone, promptly ignored thereafter.

Momo and Antman have since lived together in the catacombs, fulfilling Momo's distorted desire for a normal happy life, though Antman occasionally wonders precisely what he got himself, quite inadvertantly, into. Supposedly, decades in the future they marry, and their daughter Peaches Eternal, acts as a figurehead for the masses alongside Shinku-san's 'son' Azmodean, during The Warriors of the Ancestors's (the Original Members) return to reclaim the world they were banished from and killed in during the wars against Real Ultimate Power. Such information at this time is only speculative, however.
