Quote:"You underestimate exactly how much we don't care."
Late in the 1970s the body of Ganryu Kojiro Sasaki, the samurai famous for his battle with Musashi Miyamoto, washed up on the muddy shores of the Washington State coastline. With no idea of where he was or where he'd spent the last few centuries, Sasaki staggered across America with nothing to his name by the sopping wet clothes on his back and the broken hilt of his previously oversized no-dachi. Sasaki eventually came to a stop near the state border of Alabama, where he decided to make the most of his second chance at life by opening a swordsmanship academy, and later marrying a waitress named Pumpkin who he met at Waffle House one day. The two of them devoted their lives to the individual pursuits of honorable combat and fully-loaded hashbrowns, respectively, before Pumpkin gave birth to their only child, Walter Sasaki.
Walter grew up surrounded by the mystique of Japanese martial arts, but disapproved of his father's concepts of them. The path of the samurai was one of meaningless dignity, servility, and meant little to the pragmatic Walter. Secretly he began studying the ways of the ninja, and by the time he was fourteen, Walter was, though uncredited, fully skilled in at least a dozen deadly weaponless arts. Hottentot Shinku, then CEO of The Shinku-san Corporation took note of this prodigious martial artist, and arranged for Walter to be set upon by corporate agents and made a vanguard of the company. Walter would have none of it though, and no fewer than on eight separate occasions did Walter mercilessly slaughter the agents dispatched to drag him before Hottentot Shinku. By this time Kojiro and Pumpkin had grown restless with their everyday lives, and decided to travel Europe for one summer. Loading the family sedan with Cheerwine and their increasingly distant and paranoid son, the Sasaki clan traveled Europe (though no one's clear on how the car got across an entire ocean), and Walter found himself further besieged by agents of The Shinku-san Corporation. Eventually, after a close call in Parma, Italy where his mother was nearly injured in the battle, Walter agreed to meet with Hottentot Shinku.
It was in London determined that Hottentot would retain the services of Walter Sasaki, to dispatch various unsavory company competitors in America under the guise of a city sanitation worker. Walter agreed to do so, on the condition he could continue his martial arts training, which by now had reached then unheard-of heights.
Walter remained a sleeper agent up until 2001 when it was disclosed that Hottentot had been killed and the company was now under the reign of his son, Shinku-san. All international agents were called back to the home office in London, and Wado was reassigned as the minion of Chocolate Ninja, Shinku's third-in-command and so-called 'demon'. The two traveled the globe taking lives and burning towns, all the while Walter who had been given the codename "Wado" to reflect his status in martial arts training, grew bored with the senseless violence and felt his art left to languish. During a mission where Wado encountered the a member of the deadly alien race the Uyersuyer, he subdued the creature and brought it back with him to The Shinku-san Corporation, intent on brighing news of their invasion to the CEO. Shinku-san however, was unconcerned and dismissed Wado abruptly. Thoroughly disgusted with the way the business was being run and how his training had slackened off since the new regime had begun, Wado fell in with Dreamweaver, a fellow martial artist, and the two along with Ninja Gremlin agreed to escape the company and form their own group, dedicated to the pursuit of higher understanding through martial arts; The Three Color Budo.
In the time since then, Wado has remained under the radar, presumed dead by The Shinku-san Corporation. He and Ninja Gremlin remain vigilant in their training, occasionally staying in touch with Dreamweaver whenever his cosmic signal is strong enough. Since his departure, Wado has had numerous battles with the Uyersuyer, and other diverse enemies that Shinku-san Corp thinks itself above battling. Wado's skills are about even with Ninja Gremlin's unarmed, and along with a number of techniques he secretly picked up from Chocolate Ninja (unbeknowst to her), boasts strengths that are unparalled by almost any other full-blooded human on the planet.
